Tool axis control

When the Technology is selected as Wall or Floor Finishing, the Tool axis control page allows you to calculate the preferred contact point height.

This page is not available for Radial Roughing.

Contact point height in % of flute length

The following options are available:

Preferred: preferred contact point is calculated in such a way that the tool is aligned tangentially at the specified contact point on the surface.
Minimal: This parameter defines the minimal height that the contact point can have when the tool is tilted to avoid collisions.
Maximal: This parameter defines the maximal height that the contact point can have when the tool is tilted to avoid collisions.

Lag angle

The following options are available:

Preferred: An additional lag angle can be set. The preferred lag angle is defined as the angle between the tool axis and the plane with the feed vector as plane normal.

Minimal: The minimal lag angle is maintained when the tool is tilted to avoid collisions.

Maximal: The maximal lag angle is maintained when the tool is tilted to avoid collisions.
