These parameters enable you to define the machining quality.

Quality

Cut tolerance

The Cut tolerance parameter defines the tool path accuracy. This value is the chordal deviation between the machining surface and the tool path. In other words, the tool path can deviate from the surface in the range defined by the Cut tolerance.

Maximum distance

When this check box is selected, you can define the maximum distance between two points of the tool path.

Minimum distance

When this check box is selected, you can define the minimum distance between two points of the tool path.

Step over

Maximum step over

When this parameter is used in case of a roughing operation, the step over is the distance between two slices. In case of a finishing operation, the step over is the distance between two layers.

Scallop

This parameter enables you to define the cusp height of the machined surface.

Step down

This parameter enables you to set the distance between two layers for roughing pattern. This option is available only in the Roughing and Rest Roughing technologies.
