Undercut substitution
SolidCAM handles undercuts by substituting the undercut with a cylindrical segment depending on the undercut type. The cylinder diameter is equal to the Undercut start diameter (DU). When the diameter of the lower undercut segment is smaller than the Undercut start diameter, SolidCAM substitutes this segment with a cone, chamfer, torus or sphere.
