iMachining Database

The iMachining technology uses the iDatabase folder to store machine and material files contained in the iMachining Database.

Machine Database

The machine files stored in the iMachining Database are given the *.MACdbx file extension. Currently, a Haas_SS and Hermle_C30_TZ are included with the installation of SolidCAM.

Material Database

The material files stored in the iMachining Database are given the *.MATdbx file extension. Currently, there are 70+ materials supplied with the system. You may find that the included materials do not cover the needs of all your parts, especially since there are over 5,000 different materials used in the industry.

Using the iMachining Database dialog box, you can manage machine and material files contained in the iMachining Database.
