Axial Shift

This parameter allows you to specify the shift along the tool axis to define the engagement depth. An axial shift of 0 results in a tool tip position with no engagement. To engage the part, the defined value must be less than 0.

Axial smoothing range in % of tool diameter

This parameter allows you to set a smoothing range relative to the tool diameter.

Dynamic Axial Shift

The dynamic axial shift option is designed to be used with the entire cutting part of the tool. When this check box is selected, you can specify a dynamic axial shift with a Sinusoidal or Zigzag wave form in order to distribute the tool wear evenly. You must set the Wave length and Amplitude values in the respective fields.
