Face Milling Geometry can be defined with:

Stock based boundary is set as default. You can change the default Geometry to Stock based boundary or Part based boundary in the SolidCAM settings. |
Stock based boundary
In Stock based boundary the Face Milling Geometry is based on the actual Updated Stock boundary thereby assuring full coverage of the stock face at any stage of machining. The Geometry field is disabled and named Updated Stock by default.
Part based boundary
Part based boundary is the conventional way of defining Geometry. This section enables you to choose the appropriate Coordinate System and to define the Machining Geometry for the operation.

When editing old CAM-Parts the Part based boundary is used for Geometry selection. |
