Documentation/Help

This page enables you to specify standard editors for text files created by SolidCAM.

Editor for Part documentation

The documentation for CAM-Parts will be generated in text files with the *.doc extension. As the default editor, the SolidCAM viewer.exe can view and print documentation files. You can, however, specify any text editor or word processor that can read *.doc files as the standard editor for your documentation. Enter the path to a text editor or use the Browse button to select an application on your system.

Cover page

This option enables you to define the path to the cover page used for the CAM-Part Documentation.

Print in documentation

The Only used tools option enables SolidCAM to include in the Tool Sheet documentation only the tools from the Part Tool Table used in operations.

Toolsheet templates

This option enables you to define the path to the templates used for creating the toolsheets. Enter the path to the templates location or use the Browse button to select it in your system.

Help

SolidCAM operation dialog boxes display a graphic image in the bottom left corner that gives you a hint about the particular field function. When you hover the mouse pointer over the fields, the Dynamic image help option changes the images according to the corresponding field. When you clear the check box, the dynamic option is disabled, and the images change only when you click the field.
