Working area

When this mode is enabled, you have to specify the Working area geometry that defines the machining boundaries for the operation. The iMachining tool path is then limited to the areas contained in the boundaries.

To define how far the tool will penetrate the boundaries of the working area, use the Tool on working area option.

Name

If you have already defined working area geometries for the current CAM-Part, you can choose the geometry from the Name list.

Auto Silhouette

A working area geometry must be defined by a 2D boundary chain, meaning that it must occupy only the XY-plane of the current Coordinate System. If the selected chain contains 3D curves, enabling this option automatically creates a 2D boundary chain by projecting the 3D contour onto the XY-plane.

Define

Define enables you to select a new working area geometry.

Show

Show displays the selected working area geometry in the SOLIDWORKS window.
