General parameters

The General tab enables you to define the parameters of the Trochoidal Turning operation.

Cutting angles

• Angle

When this option is chosen, SolidCAM enables you to define the cutting angle range in accordance with which the machining will be performed. The Min. cutting angle and Max. cutting angle parameters define the minimum and maximum angle that determines the amount of tool surface that performs the cutting pass.

• Step down

When this option is chosen, SolidCAM enables you to define the Step down range in accordance with which the machining will be performed.

Rough offset

This section enables you to define the offset from the geometry that will remain after the roughing stage of the operation.

X output

The Negative X output option enables you to perform turning in the negative direction of the X-axis. The tool mounting and offset should be chosen accordingly.
