Part Tool Table parameters


SolidCAM's ToolKit enables you to customize the Part Tool Table. You can select the Tool parameters that you wish be displayed in the Part Tool Table.

Tool Number

The Tool Number is a numerical identifier for the tool. Its value must be an integer. The Tool Number is used in the GCode when the tool changes, values for tool compensation are read from the machine controller.

Tool Path Color

The Tool path color enables you to define the color of the tool path for the Cutter shown during the simulation.

Tool Type

This field contains the name of the Tool Type and user defined Tool Type.

Diameter

This field contains the Milling cutter diameter for cutting point (2xR).

Description

This field enables you to add a cutter description text for the chosen tool. The description will be displayed when you load the tool.

Tool ID  

This parameter enables you to define the catalog number of the tool to facilitate its identification.

All the above parameters are default parameters displayed in the Part Tool Table.

 

Optional  parameters

The optional Tool parameters are listed below:

Device This parameter represents the device name (Turret name plus magazine name).
Tool Offset This parameter represents the combination of Tool offset number and Tool offset index.
Station This parameter represents the Station number.
Operation Type This parameter represents the type of operation i.e. MILLING or TURNING, the tool could use.
R This parameter represents the corner radius for Milling and touch point radius for Turning Inserts and Solid turning tools (Ra).
X, Y, Z These parameters represent the distance from Tool cutting point to Station in Station CS.
Tool This parameter represents the Tool Item name.
H Length This parameter defines the distance from the tool end to the CNC-Machine spindle.
