Updated Stock settings

This page enables you to define the method of updating the stock.

Regular - You can update the stock using the regular updated stock method.

Special for HSR/HSM - This special calculation method can be used in the 3D HSR/HSM module. This option uses the 2D stock ensuring faster stock calculation compared to the Regular method. When this option is selected the stock for the previous operation is not calculated.

The Special for HSR/HSM option will function when

1. The Stock model is defined by Box.

2. CAM tree has only HSR/HSM operations.

Automatically check and fix solid model integrity

During the faceting of Stock and Target models, the coordinates of facets generated by SolidCAM are often calculated as numbers of the float type with many digits after the point. These numbers cause problems during the , such as self-intersections and gaps in model. The Automatically check and fix solid model integrity check box enables you to use a smart rounding algorithm that removes the noise in facet coordinates so that the model is displayed properly.

  1. Note that the process of removing the noise may take a long time to complete.
  2. When Automatically check and fix solid model integrity is not checked, you can set it manually in the Part Settings dialog box.
