Hole Wizard Processes

SolidCAM can recognize the holes created with SOLIDWORKS Hole Wizard feature and perform machining of the holes automatically.

Currently, the following types of holes can be recognized and processed:

    • Tapped Holes
    • Counterbore Holes
    • Countersink Holes
    • Simple Holes

Synchronizing Hole Wizard Process

  After generating the operations using the Hole Wizard Process, in case you make changes in the topology of the hole in the SOLIDWORKS model e.g.
  • Type of Hole
  • Size of the Hole
  • Location of Hole
  • Pattern of holes
  • Depth of Hole or
  • The number of Holes is increased or decreased etc.
the synchronization between the SOLIDWORKS model and the CAM Part is lost. SolidCAM enables you to check the synchronization status automatically or manually, depending on the Synchronization settings. All the operation(s) which include these holes are synchronized i.e. The tools are changed, geometries synchronised and the operations are updated and calculated.
