Preparation for Holes Recognition


You have to prepare the CAM-Part before you start the Holes recognition. The preparation includes the definition of Coordinate Systems and Target model.

Definition of Coordinate Systems

You have to define a number of Coordinate Systems corresponding to the setup positions of the part on the CNC-Machine. The number of Coordinate Systems has to be enough to machine the part from all directions that you need.

 

On a Mutiaxis CNC-Machine, it is enough to define the Position 1 of the Machine Coordinate System #1. The rest of the machining positions will be created automatically by the AFRM module.

Definition of the Target model

The Target model has to be defined. SolidCAM uses the Target model for the AFRM.

When the CAM-Part is defined and prepared, you can start the Holes Recognition process.
