This page enables you to define several technological parameters such as offsets and other data that are specific to iMachining 2D or iMachining 3D. Many of the parameters are shared since iMachining 3D generates tool paths according to the proven algorithms of iMachining 2D.

Shared parameters:

• Step down
• Cutting angles
• Morphing spiral controls
• Cutting direction

iMachining 2D parameters:

• iMachining 2D Offsets
• Finish
• Finish quality

iMachining 3D parameters:

• Rest Rough (Step-up)
• Ignore closed pockets
• iMachining 3D Offsets
• Tolerance

In iMachining 2D and iMachining 3D, the following tab is available:

Channels – this tab enables you to control the channels and moats used in the iMachining tool path.

In iMachining 2D only, the following tabs are available:

iRest Data – this tab enables you to define the parameters that are needed in rest material calculations.

Sort – this tab enables you to define the advanced sorting of multiple pockets.
