Internal Rough tool
Definition
A | The width of the tool holder. |
B | The distance between the tool tip point and the side of the tool holder. Note that a negative value will cause the holder side to move outwards from the tool tip point. |
C | The height of the tool tip carrier. |
D | The height of the tool (not including the turret); must be greater than C. |
D1, D2 | The lengths of the two cutting edges of the tool tip. These lengths define the maximum step down size during turning. |
a° | The tool tip angle; must be between 0 and 180 degrees. |
b° | The angle between the tool tip edge and a perpendicular passing through the tool tip point. The sum of a° and b° must be smaller than 90. |
E | The position of the left side of the turret with reference to the tool tip point. A negative value means that the left side of the turret will be to the left of the tool tip point. |
F | The width of the turret. |
Ra |
The tool nose radius. |
Thickness |
The thickness of the tool. |
