This page enables you to define the parameters of tool approach and retreat relative to the machined geometry.

Ramping

When the Contour strategy is chosen for the Technology definition, the following Ramping options are available:

• None

• Vertical

Lead in

These options enable you to control the movement of the tool when it enters the material on the finishing cut.

When the Hatch, One Pass or Spiral strategy is chosen for the Technology definition, the following Lead in options are available:

• None

• Tangent

When the Contour strategy is chosen for the Technology definition, the following Lead in options are available:

• None

• Normal

• Arc

Lead out

These options enable you to control the movement of the tool when it exits from the material on the finishing cut.

When the Hatch, One Pass or Spiral strategy is chosen for the Technology definition, the following Lead out options are available:

• None

• Tangent

When the Contour strategy is chosen for the Technology definition, the following Lead out options are available:

• None

• Normal

• Arc
