Tool path simulation settings
This page enables you to define the settings of displaying the tool path during simulation.
The page includes two tabs:
Tool path colors
This section enables you to customize the color of the tools used during the Host CAD simulation mode.
For each tool number you can define a separate color. The colors selected in this dialog box will be used for tools of current and future CAM-Parts.
To change a color, click on the colored rectangle next to the tool number in the list. The standard Windows Color selection dialog box will be displayed, enabling you to pick the required color.
Load default colors
Click this button to load the default SolidCAM color settings for simulation.
Arc approximation
The Arc approximation parameter enables you to define the arc approximation tolerance for the simulation.
SolidVerify simulation
When the Keep current model orientation option is selected, SolidVerify simulation starts with the current orientation of the model. When this option is not selected, the model is repositioned in the isometric orientation before the simulation start.
Target loading
This option enables you to set the mode of target model loading during the SolidVerify, 3D and Quick SolidVerify simulation.
When you choose to load the target with CAM tolerance, the target model with the tolerance value defined for the CAM model will be loaded.
When you choose to load the target with CAD tolerance (fast loading/rough target), the target model with the tolerance value defined for the CAD model will be loaded.
When you choose Don't load the target, only the stock model is loaded.
Default simulation option
SolidCAM enables you to define the default simulation mode.
Use Host CAD simulation as default
When this option is chosen, the Host CAD simulation mode is used as default for each new simulation session.
- Remember last simulation option
When this option is chosen, the simulation starts in the last used mode.
Active simulation modes
You can enable or disable simulation modes available for your parts.
Preview tool path after calculation
This option enables you to choose which operations show the tool path after being calculated. You can selected the following operations:
2D/3D iMachining
2.5D Milling
3D Milling
Multiaxis Milling
Turning
Other operations
