Tool Axis Control

The Tool axis control page enables you to define the orientation of the tool axis during the Geodesic machining.

3 Axis Parameters

The Tool control tab enables you to define the parameters that control the tool contact point with respect to the work piece/part.

Axial shift

Tool contact point

• The At User-defined point option is available when Tool contact mode is selected as Calculation mode on the Tool page, and Bull nose mill, End mill or Slot mill is selected as the tool.
• The preferred Calculation mode is Tool Center mode when Ball nose mill, Taper ball nose or Lollipop tools are selected.
